Power Rankings
Combat Power Index
◆ Every matchup is scored by the kolmo index from each team's rating and historical performance — a read on how these two teams compare, not a simple head-to-head record.
Combat Power blends each team's rating, recent form and head-to-head into a single-game edge, then projects the series to a range of likely finishes. Kill lines are central estimates — single-game variance is large (backtest SD ≈ 12).

Frequently asked
We were so hoping someone would ask. Meet George — our Chief Vibe Officer. He can't code, doesn't grasp win probability, and has never once hit a deadline. Kept him on anyway.

THE GAME
Two teams of five. One map. Destroy the enemy Nexus to win. Get the basics down before your first match.
The map
Tap any zone to scout it — lanes reveal the role that plays there.
Farm lanes, trade damage, contest the first dragons. Small leads form.
Group up, take towers and dragons, skirmish. Leads become map control.
Baron and full teamfights decide it. One won fight can end the game.
The five roles
Each player locks one position with a distinct job.
Fights alone in the corner lane. Durable, self-sufficient, the team's frontline.
Farms monsters, then ambushes lanes ("ganks") and controls objectives.
Central playmaker. Strong early, roams to swing fights across the map.
Ranged carry. Farms gold to become the team's main late-game damage.
Protects the carry, controls vision, starts fights. Low farm, high impact.
Core concepts
Five ideas behind almost every decision in a game.
Killing minions is the main gold source. More gold buys stronger items.
Items convert gold into power. A gold lead compounds into a power lead.
Wards reveal the map. You can't fight what you can't see.
Dragons, Baron, towers give lasting edges. Teams fight over their timers.
Break the lanes, take the base, destroy the Nexus. That's the whole game.
Learn Dota 2
The map
Radiant defends the bottom-left, Dire the top-right. Tap any zone to scout it.
Last-hit and deny creeps for gold, secure river runes, supports harass and pull camps.
Cores hit item timings, supports rotate to gank, teams contest towers and early Roshan.
Buybacks, Aegis timings and high-ground sieges. One won fight can end the game.
The five positions
Dota uses a 1–5 position system by farm priority, not fixed lanes.
Highest farm priority. Sits in the safe lane, scales into the team's late-game win condition.
Controls the mid lane and runes. Hits levels fast and dictates early tempo.
Survives the tough lane, creates space, and starts fights with disables.
Roams to gank, stacks camps, and enables cores. Lower farm, high tempo.
Sacrifices farm to buy wards and protect the carry. Vision and utility.
Core concepts
Five ideas behind almost every decision in a game.
Gold comes from landing the killing blow on creeps — and you can deny your own to starve the enemy.
Net worth and levels drive power. Item timings create the spikes teams fight around.
Power, bounty and water runes spawn on timers. Controlling the river controls tempo.
Killing Roshan drops the Aegis — a second life — plus Cheese. It swings fights and pushes.
Break barracks, siege up the high ground, and destroy the Ancient. That's the whole game.
Learn Counter-Strike 2
The map
Every CS2 map has two bomb sites — A and B — connected by mid. Terrorists try to plant the bomb; Counter-Terrorists defend or retake. Tap a zone to scout it.
The five roles
Calls the strategy every round — where to hit, when to save, how to read the other team. The on-server coach.
Wields the AWP sniper. One shot, one kill — holds angles and swings entire rounds with a single pick.
First through the door onto a site. Trades their life for space and information so teammates follow into an opened site.
Throws the utility — flashes, smokes, molotovs — that lets the entry and AWPer do their jobs. Selfless setup role.
Plays away from the pack, cutting rotations and hitting the map from behind. Thrives on timing and map sense.
Concepts that decide games
The economy
Money carries between rounds. Teams buy full kits, "force-buy," or "eco" (save) — reading the enemy's economy is half the game.
Utility usage
Smokes block sightlines, flashes blind, molotovs deny space. Coordinated "nades" open or shut a bomb site more than aim does.
The plant & retake
Planting flips the timer: now CTs must retake. Post-plant positions and a defuse-vs-time read decide the round.
The clutch
Last player alive in a lost-looking round. Isolate duels, use time and utility, and a 1v3 becomes a highlight.
